Bowlers compete against Seneca East
Shelby girls and boys bowling teams lost tough matches to Seneca East, Wednesday evening at Willard’s Dynasty Lanes.
While the teams may not have notched wins, Shelby coach, Jamie Williams was impressed with the improvement of the teams from Tuesday’s performance.
“What a difference a day makes. We bowled a lot better today, the girls bowled over 400 pins better than Tuesday. Really proud of the kids, they are working hard and improving”.
The girls lost a close match, dropping a 1673-1651 decision.
The Lady Whippets bowled 695-655 for a 1350 individual team total, plus the baker games 301(116-95-90) for a 1651 total.
Seneca East nipped Shelby by totaling 1309 (610-699) in individual team totals. The match was decided by Seneca East’s baker games total 364 (98-122-144) to total 1673.
Skyler Butler bowled an impressive 356 series (190-166) which was a match high.
Chloe Ernsberger rolled 148-175 to total 323.
Karlie Siebert followed with a 271 (124-147), 237 (135-102) and Bry Francis 163 (98-65).
The boys were defeated 1870-1630.
656-600 totaled 1256 for the boys’ individual team total. 117-150-107 were the three baker games totaling 374 for a combined 1630.
Seneca East bowled 690-705 for a 1305. The Tigers three baker games combined for 475 (151-129-195).
Alex Roub paced the boys with a match high 341 series (180-161).
Wolfgang Estep bowled 146-142 for a 288 series.
Jayden Hicks rolled 239 (127-112) followed by Owen Stevens 209 (107-102) and Brock Howell (96-83).
Saturday, both teams travel to Suburban Lanes for Bucyrus Redmen Classic.
